Nolvadex (tamoxifen) can be prescribed by your doctor if you have breast cancer or there is a risk you may develop breast cancer because of being in a high-risk group. It's also important to discuss the drugs that can cause interactions – if you are using them at the moment or may need to use them in the nearest future. The following medications can cause interactions with Nolvadex: HIV or AIDS medicine, pioglitazone, cimetidine, antidepressant, blood thinner, bromocriptine, rifampin, antibiotic, isoniazid, anti-malaria medication, heart rhythm medication, letrozole, aminoglutethimide, or nicardipine. Make sure you ask or health care provider any questions you may have about your treatment to make sure you get all the benefits of it. Hot flashes, depression, constipation, excessive tiredness, dizziness, headache, increased tumor pain, stomach cramps, thinning of hair, weight loss, and nausea are possible side effects of Nolvadex.
